I googled blogs with Follistim as the search word to see what other women were writing about it. I discovered www.soulcysters.com - a PCOS message board.

Anyhow, things I learned while hanging out there for a few hours:

1. Follicles are being called “follies”. Oh, the folly of it all…

2. Follicles can grow to the desired 18-22mm past CD16!

3. Follicles can grow 4mm overnight!

4. Expect tummy pains ~30 hrs after Ovidrel trigger. If it does not happen, thank God!

There was a 30’s and 40’s thread and I thought - that’s for me. I introduced myself and got welcomed. It seems like they are just chatting about life in general though, so not sure how helpful the thread would be. We will see.

There is a Christian Cyster thread that I have not checked out yet. Will drop by there next time I’m in the neighborhood.

SoulCysters has a good mix of newbies and veterans. Although I am a newbie to the forum, I feel though that I am a veteran - having been TTC in the past 5 years. I still do get confused about the many fertility/infertility acronyms but learned a few of them too - AF, BFN, DX, PG.

One turn off: I noticed that SoulCysters does not allow viewing of the links and images in the messages … until you have 10 postings. Odd…. I could just post indiscrimately and get it done and over with. Instead, I chose a few topics that interested me and responded to them. Seems like I was able to “help” some of them too.
